Sunday created StayAfterGrad because he believes every international student deserves free, accessible information about their immigration options. No paywalls, no gimmicks — just the guide he wished existed.

Why This Exists

International students invest years of their lives and significant resources to earn advanced degrees in the United States. Many have the talent and qualifications to build careers here, but they do not take the right steps early enough because nobody told them what those steps were. The information they need exists, but it is scattered across USCIS policy manuals, attorney blogs, Reddit threads, and university compliance offices.

StayAfterGrad was born from a simple idea: what if one resource brought it all together? What if an international student could go to a single website and understand what pathways exist, what each requires, where they stand today, and what they should be doing right now?

Sunday is passionate about using technology to solve real problems for real people. Not to extract money, but to provide genuine value. StayAfterGrad is free, open-access, and built with the conviction that information should never be a barrier to someone building the future they have worked so hard for.

The Mission

StayAfterGrad sits at the intersection of technology and social impact. The mission is to build tools that genuinely help people — especially those navigating complex systems where information asymmetry creates real disadvantage.

Immigration is one of those systems. International students invest years of their lives and significant resources to earn advanced degrees in the United States. Many have the talent and qualifications to build careers here, but they do not take the right steps early enough because nobody told them what those steps were.

StayAfterGrad is a public good. It will always be free, open-access, and ad-free. No accounts, no paywalls, no tracking.

How This Was Built

StayAfterGrad was built using AI-assisted research and development. Every piece of content was researched, written, and verified using a combination of:

  • 1Official USCIS sources — The USCIS Policy Manual, Code of Federal Regulations (8 CFR), and Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) sections served as primary references.
  • 2AI research tools — ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI models were used to synthesize complex legal information into student-friendly language, identify common misconceptions, and generate actionable guidance.
  • 3Modern web technologies — Built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS for performance, accessibility, and a clean user experience.
  • 4A genuine commitment to accessibility — Sunday's background in Communication and Growth Marketing informed every design decision and content priority, ensuring information is clear, actionable, and easy to find.
